Theater of the Seventh Sister announces auditions for this summer’s production of Tartuffe, written by Moliére, adapted by Richard Wilbur, and directed by Michael Swanson. Rehearsals begin in early July. The show is being co-produced by Theater of the Seventh Sister and Gretna Music and will run August 21 & 23 at Gretna Theatre in Mount Gretna, PA.

Auditions will be held on May 25 from 1-6 p.m. at the TSS office located at 451 E. Ross St., Lancaster, PA. Cast needs are: Men and women ages 18+. Please bring your headshot, resume, and prepare one classical monologue no longer than two minutes. Sides will be provided at the audition. All actors are paid. Theater of the Seventh Sister will holding auditions for “The Exonerated” by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen, and directed by Lydia Brubaker. The show will run January 8-18, 2009 at the Stahr Performing Arts Center located at the Stahr Armory on North Queen St.

Auditions will be held on November 10th at 7:30pm at the Bright Side Baptist Church located at 515 Hershey Avenue, Lancaster and on November 11th at 7:30pm at the TSS office located at 451 E. Ross St., Lancaster. Please bring a headshot, resume and prepare two contrasting monologues no longer than two minutes each. Roles available for African-American and white men and women ages 25-65.

Adams County School of Musical Theatre, located at 49 York Street in Gettysburg, PA, will be holding auditions Saturday, January 17th and 24th at 2pm for ages 6 to 20 for their premiere productions of Disney's High School Musical 2 and Disney's Sleeping Beauty kids. The Lebanon Community Theatre is having auditions for its March production of The Diary of Anne Frank (new version) at the theater on Sunday and Monday, Feb. 1 & 2, 2009 at 7:00 pm. No preparation is required, readings will be made from the sript. The play runs March 19th - 29th, 2009. The director is Mary Lou Kelsey, 717-274-0787. The theater is located in northeast Lebanon on East Maple Street in Stoever's Dam Park.

Audition requirements: Headshot and resume. Strong improv and comic skills are preferred and stage combat experience is a plus. One-minute monologue and an optional a capella piece. Blackfryar (Apprentice) Acting Company

When: Saturday, February 21 - 9am-12 Noon and 1pm-6pm
Sunday, February 22 - 10am-12 Noon and 1pm-5pm

Requirements: Auditionees must be 15 years of age or older, and have the desire to work and learn in a professional theater environment. Blackfryar rehearsals include ensemble workshops in improvisation and interactive character development as well as rehearsals for scenarios and stage shows.

The audition will include group improvisations, and will last approximately 20-25 minutes. Callback auditions will be later each day. While some theatrical experience is preferred, it is not required. Bring photo and resume. Dress to move, prepare a one-minute comic monologue (memorized) and a short a capella song.

Theater of the Seventh Sister will be holding general auditions for its 21st season. The season will include NORA, legendary film director Ingmar Bergman's adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's play, A DOLL'S HOUSE; A CHRISTMAS CAROL, written by Charles Dickens and adapted by Gary Smith; and CYRANO DE BERGERAC, written by Edmond Rostand and adapted by Frank Langella. Auditions are by appointment only and will be held on Sunday, August 23 from 3:00pm-7:00pm and on Monday, August 24 from 6:30pm-9:30pm at the TSS office located at 451 E. Ross St.

Male and female adults aged 18 and older are needed. Please bring a headshot or recent photo, a resume, and prepare two contrasting monologues no longer than two minutes each. There are a limited number of AEA contracts available. If you are a member of AEA and are interested in working with TSS, please contact us for more information. Auditions for Summer Shakespeare

Theater of the Seventh Sister is holding auditions for our Outdoor Summer Shakespeare production of Twelfth Night. It will be presented on the grounds of Historic Rock Ford Plantation.

We are also seeking selected roles for a one-time presentation of the condensed version of Seed of a Nation

Run: July 14-24 (6 performances only 7/14, 15, 17, 21, 22 & 24)

Audition Information
Audition Date: Wed. & Thurs. May 18 & 19, 7 - 9:30
Location: Stahr Center, 438 N. Queen St. Lancaster, PA 17603

-Auditions are by appointment only.
We will be reading from the script so no monologues are necessary. It would be helpful (but not necessary) for you to be familiar with the play.

We are also casting for selected roles in this historic drama that tracks five families (Susquehannock, Mennonite, Quaker, Scots-Irish and African slaves) from 1644 - 1776 as their lives intersect in this place we now call Lancaster County.

We are particularly interested in
* A woman who can play a Susquehannock
* A male who can play a young Mennonite from 15 - 25
* A male who can play a Native-American who ages from 20 - 60
* A male who can play a 20 -30 year old Scots-Irish Sheriff
* A male who can play a 20 -40 Mennonite gunsmith
* An African slave who can play from 20 - 50

Auditions will be held at the same time as Twelfth Night.
Auditionees will be reading from script.

Lions Community Theater (LCT) in New Bloomfield announces Casting Auditions for the musical ANNIE. Audition will be held at West Perry Middle School on December 12, 13, 15 from 7 to 9 pm.

Rooster: late 20s-40’s, New York accent; High G above middle C, tenor.
Lily St. Regis: 20‘s-30‘s, low class “doll,” shallow and greedy, Jersey/ditzy accent, comic actress. High belt to C, mezzo.
